TikTok Video Script Generator

Create viral TikTok content with short, punchy scripts that grab attention

TikTok does not care who you are. Every video is judged on its own, mostly on whether people watch it to the end and watch it twice, which makes the first frame the single most valuable real estate on the platform.

This generator writes vertical scripts built for that: a hook that lands as spoken words and burned-in text simultaneously, tight beats, and an ending that loops instead of signing off.

Writing for TikTok

The first frame is the whole game

On TikTok your hook has to work twice — once as something you say and once as text on screen — because a meaningful share of viewers are scrolling with sound off or arrive mid-word. Write both lines in the script and make them different, not identical. The text states the claim; the voice starts explaining it.

Never open on a static frame of your face while you inhale. Start mid-motion, mid-sentence, or on the most visually strange thing in the video. The scroll decision happens before your first full sentence finishes, so the first sentence has to be the interesting one.

The sweet spot for most creators is 21 to 34 seconds — long enough to say something, short enough that a rewatch is cheap. Longer videos can work, but only if every beat earns its place.

Write for completion and rewatch

Completion rate is the metric that decides whether a video keeps being shown, and rewatch is the multiplier. Both are structural. Cut everything that is setup. Put the payoff at the end but signal it at the start ("the third one is the reason I stopped"), so leaving early feels like a loss.

End on a loop rather than an outro. If the last line leads naturally back into the first line, the video restarts and every viewer who does not scroll away counts twice. "Thanks for watching, follow for more" is the opposite: it is an explicit instruction to leave.

Comment bait works, but be specific. Asking "what do you think?" produces nothing. Asking "which one of these did I get wrong" produces an argument, and arguments produce distribution.

TikTok-specific constraints

Keep burned-in text out of the top and bottom of the frame. The caption, the handle, the sound name and the action rail all sit over your video, and text placed in those zones will be unreadable for everyone except you in the editor.

Say the point out loud rather than only writing it. TikTok's captions are searchable and a growing share of discovery is search-driven, so the words you speak matter for more than accessibility.

Do not put the ask in the first five seconds. "Link in bio" before you have delivered value is the fastest way to lose a viewer who was otherwise going to finish. Earn it, then ask once, at the end.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long should a TikTok script be?

For a 30-second video, aim for 70 to 85 spoken words. Most high-performing videos sit between 21 and 34 seconds, which is roughly 50 to 90 words depending on how fast you talk and how much the visuals carry.

What makes a good TikTok hook?

A specific claim, a visible contradiction, or a number — delivered in the first two seconds as both spoken audio and on-screen text. Questions rarely work unless the question itself is surprising. Avoid greetings, context and anything that sounds like an introduction.

Where should on-screen text go?

In the middle third of the frame. The top strip is covered by the platform UI and the bottom quarter by the caption and action buttons, so text placed there gets clipped on many devices.

Should the video end with a call to action?

One, at the very end, and only if it is specific. Better still, end on a line that loops back into the opening — replays count as watch time and a loop outperforms a follow prompt for reach.

Do I need a trending sound?

Less than people think. A trending sound helps a video that is already good; it does not rescue a weak hook. If your script is talking-led, original audio is usually the better choice because the words are what people are staying for.
