Best time to post on LinkedIn on Saturday
Saturday is the weakest day of the week on LinkedIn. The audience is a professional one and it is not working, so there is very little to time your post against.
Our LinkedIn Saturday posting time figures are not published yet
We only publish posting times we measured ourselves, from posts actually published through Bolta. That aggregate is still being compiled, so this page shows the reasoning without the numbers rather than recycling someone else’s round figures. It is excluded from search results until the data lands.
In the meantime, Bolta’s Optimal Time already computes the answer for your own account rather than a benchmark average.

What makes Saturday different on LinkedIn
Saturday is structurally the worst day on LinkedIn, and the reason is simple: the platform's audience shows up as part of working, and on Saturday they are not working. There is no equivalent of the weekend leisure browsing that carries other networks.
It is also the worst day for the platform's longer post life, because a Saturday post's runway continues into Sunday — the only stretch of the week with no working audience at either end. There is no second day of momentum to collect.
There is nothing else distinctive to say about Saturday on LinkedIn. If you are posting, post because you want the consistency, not because you expect the day to work.

Frequently asked questions
Should I ever post on LinkedIn on a Saturday?
Only for a reason other than reach: keeping a habit, publishing something time-sensitive, or serving an audience that genuinely works weekends. Do not put a post you care about here expecting the platform to make up the difference.
Why is LinkedIn engagement so much lower at the weekend?
Because the platform is tied to the working day rather than to free time. People open it between tasks, not instead of relaxing, so when the working week stops there is no other reason for most of the audience to be there.
Does a Saturday post get picked up again on Monday?
Partly, at a disadvantage. LinkedIn will still show an older post to people who have not seen it, but by Monday it is competing with fresh content and has had no weekend conversation to build a case for being lifted.
Is Saturday any better for some audiences?
It is less bad for audiences whose work is not on a weekday schedule — independent consultants, agency owners, healthcare, hospitality, retail leadership, and people spread across regions with different working weeks. If that is genuinely your audience, measure it rather than inheriting the general rule.
Stop looking up posting times
A benchmark table is an average of other people's audiences. Bolta's Optimal Time reads your own LinkedIn history and schedules each post into the window that actually works for your account — then keeps adjusting as the audience shifts.
Methodology
These pages report posting times measured from posts published through Bolta — our own data, not a third-party benchmark. The aggregate is still being compiled, so no sample size, date range or figures are published yet and this page is excluded from search results.
When it publishes, this block will state the exact post count, the number of accounts, and the date range behind every number on the page.
