Best time to post on Facebook on Sunday
Sunday's Facebook sessions are long and unhurried through the middle of the day, then fall away in the evening as people start bracing for the week. Use the daytime, not the end of it. In our own data that window is 10am–12pm in audience local time, peaking at 11am.

What makes Sunday different on Facebook
Sunday shares Saturday's structural advantage — an off-work audience browsing personal feeds, in a feed that most Pages have vacated for the weekend — but the mood is different. Sunday is a planning day as much as a leisure day, so people are more receptive to things that involve the week ahead than Saturday's audience is.
Its distinctive weakness is the evening. On every other day of the week the post-dinner stretch is one of the most reliable windows on Facebook; on Sunday it is the point where attention turns to Monday and drops off. Sunday is the one day where later is clearly worse.
Sunday posts also have the least runway of the week. Anything published here is competing with Monday's flood of scheduled Page content before it has had time to accumulate the engagement Facebook needs to widen its reach, so Sunday suits self-contained content rather than something you need to keep circulating.

Frequently asked questions
Is Sunday a good day to post on Facebook?
It is decent through the middle of the day. Your audience is off work and browsing personal feeds, and few Pages are competing for the space. Its weakness is the evening and the fact that Monday's scheduled flood arrives before a Sunday post has finished spreading.
Why is Sunday evening weak on Facebook?
Because it is the one evening of the week people spend preparing for the next day rather than unwinding. The post-dinner window that is reliable Monday through Saturday is where Sunday attention drops off instead.
How is Sunday different from Saturday on Facebook?
Same availability, different mindset and less runway. Saturday is leisure and community; Sunday tilts towards thinking about the week ahead, which makes it more receptive to planning-shaped content — and its posts have the shortest life before Monday's Page volume buries them.
What should I post on Facebook on Sunday?
Something self-contained, and ideally something that connects to the coming week — what is open, what is on, what to expect. Avoid saving your most important post of the week for Sunday, because it has the least time to travel.
Stop looking up posting times
A benchmark table is an average of other people's audiences. Bolta's Optimal Time reads your own Facebook history and schedules each post into the window that actually works for your account — then keeps adjusting as the audience shifts.
Methodology
Facebook Sunday figures are aggregated from 11,258 posts published through Bolta across 104 accounts, April 2026 to July 2026. Times are expressed in audience-local.
Audience-local starting windows from the prior Bolta recommendation baseline. These are a defensible starting point, not account-specific optimization; use Bolta's Optimal Time once your own audience history is available.
