Lesson 1: Which Presets Fit Pages

Facebook's structure makes some Bolta presets more valuable here than elsewhere.

Engager — the most valuable preset on Pages

On Facebook, Engager handles Messenger and comments — the two highest-conversion surfaces. This is where the platform's real business happens.

Configuration:

  • Messenger: Manual autonomy initially. Move to Assisted after 30 days. Reach Auto only with thoroughly validated FAQ templates.
  • Comments: Assisted autonomy from day one. Comments are lower-stakes than DMs.
  • Filtering: Define what goes to Engager vs you (pricing questions, complaints, partnership inquiries → human; FAQ, generic engagement → Engager).

Hype-Man — strong fit for Reels and feed posts

Hype-Man drafts captions and content for your Page. Reels especially benefit:

Configuration:

  • Voice DNA tuned for Facebook audience (slightly more direct, slightly warmer than Instagram).
  • Caption length defaults: 100-300 chars for Reels, 200-500 for feed posts.
  • Reels-first prioritization — Hype-Man should default to Reels for new posts.

Hunter — limited fit on Pages

Hunter doesn't have the same role on Facebook as on X or Bluesky. Replies don't drive reach the same way. What Hunter can do:

  1. Find collaboration opportunities — other Pages or accounts in your niche.
  2. Surface Group posts you should engage with if you participate in niche Groups.
  3. Track competitor activity — what similar Pages are posting.

If you're not running a Group strategy and don't need collaboration discovery, Hunter is optional on Facebook.

Analyst — strong fit

Page Insights is dense; Analyst extracts signal:

  1. Which post formats are driving reach.
  2. When your audience is most active.
  3. Which Reels hooks correlate with watch-through.
  4. Messenger conversation patterns — which posts drive DMs.

Relationship Manager — situational

Useful if your business model relies on long-term customer relationships (B2B, services, coaching). Less useful for transactional businesses.

Lesson 2: Cadence and Post Mix

Facebook's reach reality means cadence matters less than mix. Posting more doesn't help; posting the right mix does.

Weekly cadence

For a serious Page strategy:

  • Reels: 3-5 per week. The reach engine.
  • Feed posts (image/text): 2-3 per week. The trust signal.
  • Carousels: 0-1 per week. Limited Facebook discovery.
  • Stories: Optional; lower priority than Instagram.

Time-of-day

Facebook engagement times skew differently than Instagram:

  • Lunchtime (11 AM - 1 PM): Strong window.
  • After dinner (7 PM - 9 PM): Strongest window for Reels.
  • Weekend mornings: Surprisingly strong, especially for older audiences.

Your specific audience may differ — let Analyst surface patterns.

Day-of-week

  • Wed-Thu: Strongest engagement.
  • Mon-Tue: Solid.
  • Friday: Drops noticeably after midday.
  • Saturday-Sunday: Better for Pages than for X — Facebook's audience is on weekends.

The 70/20/10 mix

A working post mix:

  • 70% educational / value-first. Tips, how-tos, behind-the-scenes, customer stories.
  • 20% community / engagement-driving. Questions, polls, "tell us about your X."
  • 10% promotional. Direct product, service, signup, or offer mentions.

Going above 10% promotional kills audience patience.

Bolta scheduling

After 14 days of data, switch to Bolta auto-scheduling. Analyst will surface your audience-specific optimal times.

Lesson 3: Cross-Posting From Bolta

Bolta makes cross-posting easy. The discipline is doing it deliberately.

From Instagram to Facebook

Common workflow:

  1. Reel created and published on Instagram.
  2. Bolta queues a Facebook version with adapted caption.
  3. You approve the adapted caption (or auto-publish at higher autonomy).
  4. Facebook version posts ~24 hours after Instagram version.

Caption adaptation rules (Bolta handles automatically with the right config):

  • Slightly more direct tone.
  • More explicit CTAs.
  • Slightly longer captions if value-first content.
  • Strip Instagram-specific tells.

From X to Facebook

X content rarely cross-posts well to Facebook directly. Different platform shapes:

  • X: 280-char posts, sentence fragments, dense.
  • Facebook: 100-500 char posts, conversational, complete thoughts.

If you want to repurpose X content on Facebook, expand the post — turn a sharp tweet into a 150-word reflection. Bolta's Hype-Man can handle this transformation if prompted.

From LinkedIn to Facebook

LinkedIn content sometimes works on Facebook with light editing:

  • Strip LinkedIn-specific framing ("Excited to share with my network…").
  • Soften corporate tone.
  • Add a question or call-to-engagement at the end.

Cross-platform Voice DNA

Most accounts benefit from separate Voice DNA profiles per platform:

  • Facebook profile: warmer, more direct, slightly older audience.
  • Instagram profile: more aesthetic, casual, younger.
  • X profile: terser, more contrarian.

Maintaining one voice profile across all platforms means each platform gets a slightly off-fit version.

Common myths

  1. "Auto-cross-posting is enough." It isn't. Adaptation is what makes cross-posting work.
  2. "My Facebook strategy can be the same as Instagram." The audiences are different. The strategies should match.
  3. "I should run Bolta on full autopilot from day one." Don't. Especially on Messenger, the cost of a bad auto-response is high.

Action Steps

  1. Configure Engager for Messenger with your top 10 FAQ answers. Set autonomy to Manual for 30 days.
  2. Set up cross-posting from your Instagram account to your Facebook Page. Configure caption adaptation.
  3. Plan the next 14 days of Reels with Hype-Man's help. Approve and queue them.

The right Bolta workflow on Facebook doesn't replace strategy — it removes the friction of executing the strategy you already have. Last Facebook lesson: when to graduate from organic to paid ads.
