What makes Saturday different on YouTube
Saturday is the day the audience is furthest from a schedule. Nobody is at a desk, viewing moves to televisions and larger screens, and sessions run longer than any weekday's — which is why long-form and series content tends to be watched through rather than sampled.
It is also the lightest upload day in many niches, since most creators publish on weekdays. Less new work competing for subscriptions-feed and notification attention means an opening window that is less crowded than a Monday's.
The trade-off is predictability. Weekday audiences have a routine you can aim at; Saturday audiences are out, running errands, or with family at times that vary far more between individuals. Timing precision buys less here than it does mid-week, and the video's opening cohort is more scattered as a result.
