Hype-Man, Hunter, Analyst, Engager, Relationship Manager — what each one does, when to hire it, and how they work together.

## Lesson 1: Meet the Five Presets

Each preset is a starting point — a tuned agent type with sensible defaults for personality, jobs, and behavior. You can customize anything, but the presets get you 80% of the way without thinking.

### Hype-Man — the content creator

**What it does:** Generates posts in your voice, on your schedule, across your platforms.

**Best for:** Anyone who wants to publish more without thinking about it. This is the agent most people hire first.

**What it won't do:** Hunt for leads, run analytics deep-dives, or manage long DM relationships. Hype-Man writes; that's the job.

### Hunter — the acquisition agent

**What it does:** Scans social platforms for opportunities — people asking questions you can answer, conversations relevant to your niche, accounts you should reply to or follow.

**Best for:** Founders looking for inbound leads, creators trying to break into a new niche, or anyone who knows engagement-as-distribution beats posting-as-distribution.

**What it won't do:** Write your scheduled content. Hunters chase opportunities; Hype-Men make them.

### Analyst — the data agent

**What it does:** Watches your performance across platforms and surfaces insights. Which hooks work. Which posting times get traction. Which content types your audience saves vs scrolls past.

**Best for:** Anyone running 2+ agents who needs a feedback loop. Without an Analyst, you're flying blind — your other agents have no signal to learn from.

**What it won't do:** Post or engage. Analysts only read.

### Engager — the conversation agent

**What it does:** Replies to comments and DMs, follows up on engagement, keeps conversations alive.

**Best for:** Accounts with active comment sections that you can't keep up with manually. Especially valuable on Threads, Bluesky, and X where reply velocity drives algorithmic distribution.

**What it won't do:** Cold-DM strangers (that's a Hunter or Relationship Manager job).

### Relationship Manager — the long-game agent

**What it does:** Maintains warm relationships with people you've already engaged. Remembers context across conversations. Surfaces "you should follow up with X" reminders.

**Best for:** B2B founders, agencies, and creators with high-value individual relationships (vs broadcast audiences).

**What it won't do:** Manufacture relationships from scratch — you still need to start the conversation. RM keeps it warm.

## Lesson 2: Who Should You Hire First?

Don't hire all five at once. You'll overwhelm yourself approving outputs, and you won't know which agent is doing the heavy lifting.

### The decision tree

1. **Goal is "publish consistently"** → Hire **Hype-Man** first.
2. **Goal is "find customers / inbound DMs"** → Hire **Hunter** first.
3. **Goal is "build authority in a niche"** → Hire **Hype-Man**, then layer in **Analyst** after a month of data.
4. **Goal is "manage a comment section that's getting away from me"** → Hire **Engager** first.
5. **Goal is "I have 50 warm leads I keep losing track of"** → Hire **Relationship Manager** first.

### A common pattern

Most founders end up with this stack within 90 days:

1. Hype-Man (creates content)
2. Hunter (finds engagement opportunities)
3. Analyst (closes the feedback loop)

That's a "Content Engine" blueprint, more or less, and it's the workforce most people want even if they don't know it yet.

## Lesson 3: How Agents Combine

The magic isn't any single agent — it's how they reinforce each other.

### Hunter + Hype-Man

Hunter finds a viral conversation in your niche. Hype-Man writes a post that rides the moment. You publish within an hour. This loop, run weekly, is the difference between "posting into the void" and "posting into a conversation."

### Hype-Man + Analyst

Hype-Man publishes 21 posts in a week. Analyst tells you that 4 of them drove 80% of engagement and they all share a structural pattern (e.g., "personal story + hard-won lesson"). Hype-Man's persona gets refined to do more of those. Posts compound.

### Engager + Relationship Manager

Engager catches a great comment from someone valuable. Relationship Manager flags them as "follow up in 2 weeks" and surfaces context when you do. You build real relationships at scale.

### What not to do

1. **Don't hire Analyst before Hype-Man.** You need data before you can analyze it.
2. **Don't hire Engager before you have a comment section.** You'll be paying an agent to wait.
3. **Don't hire Hunter on every platform at once.** Pick the platform where your audience actually lives.

### Action Steps

1. Pick one goal you actually have (not "grow"). Be specific: "Get 3 inbound DMs per week" or "Publish 5x weekly on Threads."
2. Use the decision tree above to pick a first agent. Hire only that one.
3. Run it for 14 days at Assisted autonomy before you hire a second agent. You're learning what an AI workforce feels like — don't skip that.

Next lesson: autonomy levels. This is where most founders make their first mistake.
